America's Wall of Honor Coming to Branson

America's Wall of Honor, a traveling display wall, arrives in Branson during Veteran's Week; the artist revealed that it will remain in Branson for good after traveling the nation for five years.

Timothy Lampros is the artist behind the wall that honors police and fire personnel along with veterans and US presidents. He began his time speaking at Tuesday night's Branson Board of Aldermen meeting by stating that he left his notes at his seat because what he planned on saying was "meaningless." He said he didn't know what Branson was four months ago but came to the city for an event.

"I was introduced to Branson, and the community that you are. You may not know this, but I believe it with all my heart, and after being here today-I believe it's ordained from Heaven," Lampros said. His next statement was met with applause by attendees.

"Branson might be the most patriotic city in America," he said. Branson Mayor Larry Milton replied.

"Correction." he interjected, "You say might, this mayor says we are the most patriotic city in America."

Lampros explained that he began designing America's Wall of Honor in December of 2016. In 2019, he came to Omaha, Nebraska from Los Angeles, California. He said Omaha was "another city I kind of didn't even know existed." It was there that the designer began building the traveling artwork.

America's Wall of Honor is a 57’ x 10’ tall "traveling monument." "Patriot Thunder" is the name of the tour on which it will embark.

Lampros described experiencing "Patriot Thunder" and being in front of the piece of art as "otherworldly." He added that "few cities that deserve" to have it stand on their ground.

According to the America's Wall of Honor website, the "incredible 57’ x 10’ Memorial Wall will contain nine “seals” forged from dozens of layers of Stainless Steel." Following is more from the website:

"The Presidential Seal, honoring the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, will be the centerpiece of the Wall; flanked on either side with the official emblems of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and National Guard; along with the badges of America’s First Responders in law enforcement, and fire and rescue. Having been completed, the Wall will tour the United States, and will also feature several Mobile Musuems / Education Centers."

Lampros himself served the nation in the US Air Force. The website also mentions his service to his hometown and Hollywood.

It states that following his military service, "Tim worked as a firefighter/paramedic; first in his home state of Illinois, then in Hollywood as a Set Medic and Safety Director. He served on movie and TV sets including Titanic, Alien Resurrection, Con Air, Charlie’s Angels, X-Files, and many more."

The artist's speech and the rest of the discussion is online.
