Two area organizations involved in health services are teaming up for a Community Health Fair next week.
Deana Morgan with Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care, during an interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, said their group along with Atlas Home Health and Therapy wanted to come up with an event to provide information to seniors in the region about resources and services available for themselves and other family members.
Morgan said the goal of the event is to help raise awareness of the amount of services that are available for seniors and to make informed decisions on which services to utilize. Morgan added that younger families are also encouraged to attend to get information about caring for older relatives plus maybe look at future options as they get older.
Some of the other organizations participating include Cornerstone Caregiving, Cox Health, Health Systems Incorporated, Hope Counseling Center, My Neighbor's Pharmacy, Phoenix Senior Living, Senior Age, and the Taney County Health Department.
The Community Health Fair takes place this coming Tuesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Branson-Hollister Senior Center on Compton Drive in Branson.
