An Area School Superintendent says that education not only involves students, but parents, other patrons, and legislators.
Dr. Landon Gray, the Superintendent of the Sparta School District, says during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program that with funding from the state comes guidelines and it is important for the district to follow those guidelines. Gray also says that the locally elected Board of Education sets the guidelines for the district. Communicating and Educating with the board members along with state officials are important to let them know the situation in each district and how it is impacting the students they are educating.
Gray also said that the district is in good shape with facilities to handle the current student population and says that one of the challenges is making sure that students are prepared for all potential opportunities to continue education at the next level.
