A Brandon Burlsworth documentary is coming out on ESPN's SEC Network on Nov. 14, according to Marty Burlsworth.
Burlsworth appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss the documentary film about the late football player. Viewers in Harrison get to see it a day earlier. Burlsworth said that the documentary has been in production for the previous two years, but he tried sparking interest in it back in 2019.
That limited seating early showing of the documentary will take place on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at the performing arts center. "Of course, a lot of it centers around the Tennessee game in 1998," Burlsworth said. Tickets are online.
He said that's how the director wanted to do the film and added that the director "done some good films." Burlsworth revealed that he had the opportunity to do something that isn't normal for these projects.
Burlsworth said he was given the ability to view the film for approval. He said he didn't ask but was offered the "rare" privilege.
The filmmaker didn't reference the movie "Greater" in the making of the documentary. Burlsworth said the reason behind this was to do something new and truthful. More was discussed during the broadcast.
The full interview with Burlsworth is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
