The Branson Fire Department honored one of their own as he retired after giving 26 years of his life in service to the community.
The ceremony, held at Branson Fire Station No. 4, honored Battalion Chief Scott Cizek on his retirement. The event featured not only members of the Branson Fire Department, but surrounding fire departments and the Branson Police Department there to honor Cizek and his career in service.
“For 26 years, Scott has stood as a symbol of courage, dedication and commitment,” Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin said during the ceremony. “One of your most outstanding character traits has always been that you’re always exhibiting the highest degree of integrity. No matter what the situation and in every decision you have made, always putting the good of others first, you most certainly have always been a shining example of what as you stand for and as you close this chapter of your career, it’s important to acknowledge all that you’ve accomplished, but it’s more about the team that you build, the lives you’ve touched and the relationships you’ve built along the way.”
