Branson Fire Rescue Replacing Some Sirens

According to a press release, siren testing, lane closures and traffic delays may be present Monday and Tuesday because the Branson Fire Rescue Department is replacing two outdoor warning sirens.

All work is weather permitting, and the new equipment will be tested as installation is completed. Questions can be directed to Branson Fire Rescue at (417) 243-2790. The release states that the replacement work in process from April 25 to April 26 is completely funded by a grant from Missouri State Emergency Management.

Branson has 23 outdoor warning sirens across the community. The release notes that the sirens alert people to several emergencies. These emergencies include anything from tornados and floods to thunderstorms with winds greater than 70 mph.
