Branson, Ozark, Shell Knob Among School Districts In Success-Ready Students Network

Three area school districts are among those taking part in a pilot program to help give students timely evaluations during the school year.

Branson Superintendent Dr. Brad Swofford, during an interview on KRZK "Ozarks Now" program said the district is one of 20 that have been granted a waiver from accreditation by the Missouri State Board of Education, to use the program developed by the Success-Ready Students Network group, which will allow more assessments during the year and help keep students on track for meeting their goals. Swofford says the district has been using the system for several years but for the next three years, will not have to do duplicate assessments. Swofford adds that the system allows more timely results given to students to know how they are progressing. 

According to information on the program's website, the Ozark and Shell Knob School Districts are also taking part in this program.

Swofford also talked about the beginning of the school year next week, including Open House on Monday, Freshman Orientation on Tuesday, then the First Day of School on Wednesday.
