The Streetscape Project for Downtown Branson is looking to get back on track this spring.
A meeting was held last week to get input on the project, which was set to commence this month but was delayed due to a lack of bidders on the project according to Mayor Larry Milton, who discussed the issue on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program prior to the meeting.
During their reports at Tuesday's Board of Aldermen Meeting, Ward 2 Aldermen Artie Lucas and Glenn Schulz both said they had received feedback from business owners downtown about the concerns of the currently planned timeline which has construction taking place between April and November. Schulz during his comments that several of the businesses were closed when he and Lucas visited businesses to inform them of the meeting.
In between the comments between Lucas and Schulz, Milton said that City Staff led by Administrator Cathy Stepp have gone overboard putting together the input with all the issues and information to recommend moving forward later this year.
