The past two weeks has been busy for Christian Action Ministries.
The not-for-profit organization which helps feed the hungry in the Lakes Region, conducted a Food Drive last Friday prior to the Forsyth home football game against Hollister. According to a post on the CAM Facebook page, the drive netted 600 pounds of food and over $300 in cash to help the food pantry.
CAM was also one of the beneficiaries of the “Fishing4Possibilities” event that took place out of K Dock on Bulls Shoals Lake last Saturday which saw over 20 anglers participate.
This week had CAM hosting a building dedication event for their new food pantry location at the former Charlies Steakhouse location in downtown Forsyth. Guests were given a tour of the building and told of the plans for remodeling the building for their food pantry serving Forsyth and the surrounding area.
CAM will be hosting another Food Drive at a football game this week, this time at Pirates Stadium prior to Branson’s contest with West Plains.
CAM Executive Director Michelle Dean will appear on Friday's Edition of KRZK's "The Upside" program to talk about these events and other activities with CAM.
