Training classes are coming up for alcohol sales.
The City of Branson Press Release is below::
The City of Branson is offering free Alcohol Retailer trainings on March 13, April 3, and June 5, 2025, to promote responsible alcohol sales and to prevent sales to minor and intoxicated customers.
These trainings will take place at Branson City Hall in the Council Chambers, beginning at 2:30 p.m. and lasting approximately two hours. The training will be conducted by the Community Partnerships of the Ozarks and is provided at no cost. No pre-registration is required, but attendees are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in.
“This training is essential for business owner, managers, bartenders, servers and cashiers involved in alcohol sales,” said Matthew Henry, License Compliance Manager. “Understanding these laws not only ensures compliance but also helps businesses avoid severe consequences of accidental missteps.”
Under Branson city code, all liquor license holders must ensure their staff that sells alcoholic beverages receive alcohol education within 60 days of hire and every two years after. The training covers state and local alcohol laws, proper ID verification and how to detect fake IDs, best practices to prevent illegal sales, and the importance of compliance checks.
The City of Branson remains committed to supporting local businesses while ensuring public safety through responsible alcohol sales. These training sessions are part of an ongoing effort to create a safe and enjoyable environment for residents and visitors alike.
While the training is required for business within the City of Branson, servers and cashiers from surrounding communities are also welcome to attend. For more information, contact the business license office at 417-337-8551 or businesslicense@bransonmo.gov.
