Cox Health releases an update Monday morning on COVID-19 in its facility, including the report of 15 deaths.
Cox CEO Steve Edwards says in a twitter post that a total of 72 patients have died due to COVID this month, all of them unvaccinated.
The post goes on to say that 151 patients are currently admitted to Cox Facilities in Springfield with a third of them from Greene County while 31 patients are from Taney County. Barry and Stone Counties in Missouri and Boone County in Arkansas are among the other counties that have COVID Patients at Cox Facilities in Springfield.
Edwards says in his tweet that the COVID-19 Vaccine is the best defense against the resurgence of the virus and the Delta Variant.
