With Flu, COVID, and other viruses prevalent this season, it is important to keep up on shots and keep healthy habits according to a healthcare official.
During a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, Cox Medical Center Branson Director of Nursing Adene Smith said that the Cox facilities are seeing an increasing number of patients due in part to people not masking as much as last year plus new strains of viruses. Flu, COVID, and the respiratory virus RSV, have affected many people. Smith also mentioned that Shingles has not been as big an issue in the Lakes Region as other illnesses.
Smith says it is important to keep up on scheduled shots and also take care to get plenty of rest and not try to work or do other activities if not feeling good.
