The Latest Report from the US Drought Monitor shows much of the Lakes Region continuing to improve or stay level with reduced drought levels.
The current map has all of the Missouri Lakes Region counties of Barry, Stone, Taney, and Ozark either at a Moderate Level or Abnormally Dry in northern sections of the counties.
Moderate Drought Levels cover all or most of Boone, Carroll, Madison, and Newton counties in Arkansas while most of Marion and Searcy remain at the Severe Drought Level.
The map indicates that recent rainfall has helped increase water levels in much of the region though more rain is needed to get the levels closer to normal.
