The latest report from the U.S. Drought Monitor indicates conditions improving in most of the Lakes Region.
While drought levels remain extreme in most of Barry County in Missouri and most of Carroll County and parts of Boone County in Arkansas, the rest of the region has seen drought levels drop to severe with parts of Marion and Searcy Counties in Arkansas dropping to moderate levels.
Increased rainfall over the last week has continued to help conditions but weather forecasters say that some level of drought conditions will continue for most of the month in the region.
