Dry Conditions Creep Back into Lakes Region

With the last two weeks mostly being dry in the Lakes Region, some minor drought conditions are beginning to develop.

The latest indication from the US Drought Monitor indicates that sections of northern Arkansas are once again Abnormally Dry creating some elevated fire risk. The areas of northern Arkansas impacted includes most of Boone, Marion, and Newton Counties along with portions of Carroll, Madison, and Searcy Counties. 

The Missouri portion of the Lakes Region currently are not at a drought level, but hot temperatures and little rain are in the forecast for the next five days.
