National Weather Service Forecasters are warning residents to avoid outdoor burning over the next couple of days.
In a statement issued this morning, forecasters say that the elevated winds combined with dry conditions and low humidity will combine to make outdoor burning hazardous. Forecasters say conditions will make it easy for an outdoor fire to get out of control quickly and burns should only be handled by experienced fire personnel.
The forecast calls for the next chance of rain in the region beginning on Thursday and extending into the weekend.
