A family from Blue Eye has been displaced after a fire destroyed their home.
According to a post from the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, personnel responded to the scene just after 10:30 Monday morning and discovered heavy smoke coming from the residence. Firefighters were able to make quick entry into the residence and extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported due to the fire.
According to the post, the American Red Cross is assisting the family after losing most of their possessions in the fire.
