
A major fire in Kimberling City Saturday morning is fought by multiple agencies and is under investigation by law enforcement.
According to information posted by the Kimberling City Police Department and Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, a fire alarm went off just before 6:00 this morning at the Oak Apartments. Southern Stone County firefighters were joined personnel and equipment from the Branson, Highlandville, Hurley, Nixa, Oak Grove, and Ozark Fire Departments as well as from the Central Crossing, Northern Sone County, and Western Taney Country Fire Protection Districts in battling the three-story blaze. Kimberling City Police and Mercy Emergency Medical Services also assisted on the scene and all residents were evacuated without injury.
The fire is being investigated by the Missouri State Fire Marshall's and Kimberling City Police, who says in their Facebook post that the fire is being investigated as arson and a suspect has been identified.
