The National Weather Service continues to monitor the increasing risk of fire with winds increasing and relative humidity decreasing.
The Weather Service has expanded the Red Flag Warning to cover all but the far eastern counties of Missouri. In Arkansas, the NWS has issued a Wind Advisory for some northwestern counties including Carroll and Madison. Burn Bans have been added in northern Arkansas with Marion and Newton Counties now joining Boone, Carroll, Madison, and Searcy Counties with posted Burn Bans.
Around the Lakes Region, wind gusts could reach up to 45 MPH with the relative humidity between 20-30 %. With temperatures expected to get into the 70s again, officials are again cautioning against outdoor burning.
Wednesday will see stronger winds but also a change in temperature as a front will bring a chance of light rain and drop temperatures to the upper 30s by nighttime and highs only in the 50s on Thursday.
