Foundation Table's Valentine's Day Special to Provide Food, Entertainment and Chocolate

Foundation Tables plans to spread love this Valentine's Day season.

 

Tim Randall from Foundation Tables appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Friday to talk its Legends in Concert Valentine's Day special. Anyone that brings in five cans of food or at least some other nonperishable food will get entered into a drawing set to occur on Feb. 12. The winner will receive tickets to see Legends in Concert on Valentine's Day and a large box of chocolate.

Another Feb. 12 drawing by Foundation Table allows people to enter with $3 or $5 donation. The $3 donation will enter the donor to win one ticket while the $5 will enter them for two tickets.

The winner will get a meal at Hong Kong Express, two Legends in Concert tickets and a large box of chocolate. Randall and Foundation Tables have a history of helping.

Foundation Tables is a nonprofit that launched about a year ago. It kicked off when Randall served pancakes. It morphed into an organization with a thrift store. Randall explained that the store funds the Foundation Table's food service and some clothes. The organization will serve anyone food.

There's no vetting process. Randall said that can give way to abuse of the service, but that's a risk the group is willing to take. Earlier, he talked about the group's need for a bigger building.
