Gingrich: Similarities to 1994 in Today's Politics

The former Speaker of the House who led the Republican Revolution in 1994 says some of the same dynamics are present in today’s political climate. 

Newt Gingrich, during an interview on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program says that their goal was to bring then Democratic President Bill Clinton back to the center and in doing so was able to pass several important laws as well as balancing the budget. Gingrich sees similarities to what current House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is trying to do. 

Gingrich also says it is important that the parties find as much middle ground as possible for agreement and always keep an ear to the people and their feelings. The complete interview with Newt Gingrich can be heard below:
