One of the most distinctive voices in the Tri-Lakes Region is hanging up his microphone, at least on a fulltime basis.
Greg Pyron announces Friday that he is retiring from his day to day duties with the Ozarks Dynacom Family of stations including his co-hosting role on the Ozarks Now Program on KRZK.
Pyron is the longest tenured employee with consecutive years of service with the company having started in 1988 when there were only two stations with the studios located along Turkey Creek in Hollister. Pyron coordinated many of the changes over the years, including a move to the current studio facilities in Branson in the summer of 1990 as well as the relocation of the KOMC-AM (now KCAX) tower from Hollister to off of Victor Church Road as well as the KRZK Tower from the Branson Heights Shopping Center to its mountain top location north of Merriam Woods.
Greg's voice has been a fixture on the Lakes Area airwaves serving at times over the years as News Director, Program Director, and Operations Manager while hosting many shows, including the long running Ozark Mountain Gems Program as well as being a lead voice in News, Weather, and Election Coverage and in several different capacities with the annual Branson Adoration Parade.
While Greg is stepping away from the Day to Day Operations, he will remain a part of future plans for some Ozarks Dynacom projects while continuing in other roles in the community including his work with First Presbyterian Church in Branson.
