A major point of interest to residents and visitors of the Lakes Region is set to reopen after a revitalization project.
According to a press release, Taney County Commissioners Nick Plummer, Brandon Williams, and Sheila Wyatt along with Hollister Mayor Lamar Patton will be among those present for the Dedication to the Refurbished Table Rock Scenic Overlook on Highway 165. The release states that Taney County Bridge and Road Crew, which includes a member following his great-grandfather who was a member of the original crew that laid stone during the construction of the original scenic overlook, worked on the project.
The revitalized overlook will improve ADA accessibility as well as pedestrian and vehicular safety.
The sight has long been a popular site for both residents and visitors, listed as one of the best areas to picnic by Explore Branson while it is also listed as the top site to visit in and around the City of Hollister.
The dedication will take place at the Scenic Overlook beginning at 10:00 am.
