A repeat of the extreme heat the Lakes Region saw late in July will return this week.
National Weather Service Forecasters have issued a Heat Advisory for all of Missouri and much of the surrounding region starting at 11:00 this morning going through Thursday evening.
Temperatures in the mid to upper 90's and Head Index Readings around 105 or greater are expected during this time.
The Weather Service reminds individuals to drink plenty of fluids when outside in the heat and reschedule outside work when possible to either the morning or evening hours.
Currently the Heat Advisory is not in effect for Northern Arkansas where less humid conditions are expected, but temperatures will be in the 90's for most of the week.
