Volunteers help more than 100 children in Taney County have a warmer winter and a happier Christmas.
The Junior Auxiliary of Taney County hosted its Christmas Assistance Program, which gave gifts to children ages 6 months to 5 years old. The program gave out gift bags with a hooded coat, gloves, an outfit, a book and a toy to 101 children, all who are enrolled in programs through OACAC Head Start, Early Head Start and Home-Based programs.
JATC Chair of the Christmas Assistance Project Bobbie Wydeen said the JATC had several partners who helped make the program possible.
