Local wrestler Johnny Lightning is featured in Mid-States Wrestling 21 anniversary show this weekend; the main event is a 21-man battle royal over the top rope.
Lightning appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss the event run by Jason Jones. Lighting has wrestled for four years. He said he has "always loved" the sport and knew he wanted to do it early in life. Lighting said his persona falls into the "good guy" section.
Attendees can see lighting in action this Saturday night at 7 p.m. The doors open up at 6 p.m. He said he will sign his autograph at his table. Lighting described the event as "family friendly," later adding that there's no cussing and blood. Tickets are $15.
The wrestler also talked about his Mid-States wrestling tag-team championship award. He and his partner, Johnny Dynamite, won it in February at the fairgrounds. They're the "first ever tag-team champions for Mid-States wrestling."
