The Lakes Region saw little damage with the two rounds of strong storms that moved through the region on Monday.
The strongest of the storms stayed mostly in central and southern Arkansas where several Tornado Warnings were issued. The strongest of the storms moved through the Lakes Area Monday night as strong winds and heavy rain belted the area. Nearly three quarters inch hail fell in the Monett area according to a report from the National Weather Service. Parts of southwest Missouri were under Flood Advisories heavy rain fell in a corridor between Joplin and Springfield. Some power outages were also reported in the Springfield area.
No more rain is in the forecast for this week, but temperatures will get colder. After temperatures in the 60’s today, temperatures will be in the 40’s and 50’s over the rest of the week.
