Cox Medical Center Branson Emergency Room Social Worker Peggy Seidl was recognized by the Branson government for her “tireless, positive, and compassionate” work

Branson Mayor Larry Milton presented Seidl with the “You’ve Been Caught” citizen recognition award at the Tuesday night Board of Aldermen meeting. “Everyday she helps our community cope with the death of loved ones, child custody issues, mental health issues, and homelessness and does so with the utmost love, respect, and comfort,” Milton said.

He added that she also ensures the staff are okay and have what they need to perform their jobs. “Once, when the traumatic death of a child affected hospital staff deeply, she was the one who stayed hours beyond her shift to make sure her coworkers were managing the difficult time. This is the best kind of person to represent the City of Branson to our residents and visitors when they need comfort and love the most,” Milton said.

Many stood to applaud Seidl. Seidl and Milton had their photo taken before returning to their seats.
