A three time Olympic Athlete shares her story of the highs and lows of her career and how her faith has carried her to a audience of over 400 people at last week's South Central Missouri Fellowship of Christian Athletes Awards Banquet.
Lolo Jones, during a press conference prior to last week's banquet at Big Cedar Lodge and during her keynote speech, encouraged young athletes to take both success and set-backs in competition as ways that God has blessed them to use those outcomes to represent God to themselves and others.
Jones also talked about her life as an athlete and the challenges of representing her faith against a backdrop of challenges that test that faith and sticking to those principals when many other competitors have chosen a different path.
The banquet also honored West Plains Coach/Teacher Austin Riggs as the South Central FCA Coach of the Year for his efforts leading the FCA Chapter in that school as well as Blue Eye's Aiden Estes and Ava's Mallory Melton as the Male and Female Athletes of the Year.
