A man has died after falling into the lake while fishing.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident when 75-year-old Larry Dilday of Forsyth fell in Bull Shoals Lake while fishing off the bank near Mile Marker 82 in the White River Arm of the lake and was found floating face down after 2:00 Tuesday afternoon. Dilday was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Highway Patrol was assisted on site by the Forsyth Fire and Police Departments as well as Taney County Ambulance.
This is the second drowning on waterways located in Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2024.
