Motorist around the Lakes Region have seen several road crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation out on projects over the last few weeks.
A resurfacing project on Highway 65 from the Highway EE Interchange to the Christian/Taney County Line that began in the Spring is expected to be completed around the first of November. Most work on that project is taking place during the nighttime and overnight hours. Other improvement projects on 65 between Ozark and Branson will continue into next year.
Meanwhile, a paving project in Taney County is nearing completion. The project, on Highway 160 east of Merriam Woods, has cut traffic down to one lane and caused some delays. The project is expected to be wrapped up at the end of the week.
MODOT also has projects on Highway 76 including resurfacing of the roadway in the Bradleyville and Kirbyville areas while MODOT is also working on sidewalk improvements along Highway 76 and Business 65 along Veterans Blvd. in Branson.
