Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol work a pair of accidents with multiple injuries Friday.
The information on the crashes provided by the MSHP Online Accident Report Website:
-The first crash occurred late Friday morning in Christian County when a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Alexis Ortiz of Spokane crossed the centerline of Highway EE in Highlandville and collided with a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Rickie Taylor of Spokane. Both drivers as well as a one-year-old child in Ortiz's vehicle were listed in serious condition and were taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
-Meanwhile, eight people, all from Cassville, were injured in a collision of two SUVs in Barry County mid-afternoon on Friday. The crash took place on Highway 76 near Exeter when the SUV driven by 30-year-old Samantha Mason failed to yield to the other SUV driven by 35-year-old Ashley Easter. Six passengers between the two vehicles escaped with minor injuries while both drivers sustained serious injuries. All of the injured were taken to hospitals in Monett, Rogers, and Springfield for treatment.
