For the second time this season, a longtime Branson Attraction announces it is under new ownership.
In a release late last week posted by Ozarks First, the owners of the Branson Scenic Railway announce they are stepping away with a new ownership group taking over. Owners Alan and Illa Camp and Tom Johnson are retiring and have sold the operation to American Heritage Railways.
The Camps and Johnson opened the operation in downtown Branson in 1993 and have operated sightseeing excursions south into northern Arkansas and north toward Galena while later adding the Holiday Polar Express trains.
The new owners operate trains in Colorado and North Carolina and hint they may look at adding some of the features of those trains in Branson in the future.
Earlier this year, the owners of Branson’s Titanic Museum announced they were retiring and sold their operation to the company the operates Dolly’s Stampede.
