Battle of the Badges is an opportunity to donate blood and do more, according to a press release from the Branson government.
BRANSON, Mo., 1/16/2024 – Community members can give blood, help determine a winner AND walk away with life-saving information and skills at this year’s American Red Cross Battle of the Badges Blood drive which now features a safety fair! The Fire Department, Police Department, the American Red Cross and the Taney County Health Department will have booths at the blood drive to teach and have information on the following subjects:
- Crime prevention and home security
- Proper fire extinguisher and smoke alarm safety
- Hands-only CPR training
- Car seat safety
- Veteran’s mental health resiliency with an appearance by a pet therapy dog!
The Blood Drive is on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church Parish Center at 202 Vaughan Dr, in Branson. Blood donors get to vote #teampolice or #teamfire and the department with the most votes WINS!
Donors should schedule a time slot by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or by visiting RedCrossBlood.org and entering OURLADY to schedule an appointment. Donors will also get a special Battle of the Badges Blood Drive t-shirt.
