Nixa Police Missing Person Update: Jerry Hasty was Found

Nixa Police released an update on a missing person via their Facebook Page; the update and original post can be read below.

UPDATE 12:15am 12/2/21: Jerry Hasty has been found safe in Springfield and is being returned home. Nixa Police wish to thank all those who helped keep an eye out for him and spread the word that we were looking for him.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE: Nixa Police are trying to locate Jerry Hasty, a 78-year-old white male diagnosed with dementia who went missing from a senior living facility in Nixa today.

Jerry is 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with grey hair, brown eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans, a white t-shirt, and maroon checkered button up shirt.

Jerry’s wife reports he became upset and wanted to return to Nebraska City, Nebraska where he was raised. He took the keys to their black 2017 Toyota Camry with license plates JCH-TKH and left the senior living facility where they both reside in north Nixa at approximately 3pm on 12/1/21.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is sending a silver alert across Missouri and Nebraska regarding this case being investigated by Nixa Police.
