North Arkansas College Hosts "Category 5" Commander in JPH Lecture Series

The latest featured speaker in the John Paul Hammerschmidt Lecture Series is a person with experience in taking command in disaster situations.

The release below is from North Arkansas College:

Please join us Thursday night at 6:30 PM in the JPH Conference Center to welcome LGT. Russel L. Honore to Harrison. The General will speak on how to create a culture of community preparedness which can reduce the impact of a crisis or emergency, saving lives and minimizing damage in the event the unexpected happens.

This lecture is timely for members of the law enforcement community, EMT and medical personnel, city and county government officials, school administrators, students, veterans and military personnel and anyone who wants to learn from his varied experiences leading the US in times of crisis. He is the “go-to” person for the media, sometimes referred to as “The Ragin Cajun” because of his John Wayne command style.

The General will share lessons learned from Category 5 hurricanes such as Katrina and man-made conflicts during his 37 years in the military along with how to be a take-charge leader during catastrophe’s.

A question and answer session will follow the lecture.

Admission is free.
