Nygard Park to Receive New Playground Improvements

Upgrades to John Nygard Memorial Park are coming, according to a press release from the Branson government.

(BRANSON, MO, November 12, 2024) – The Branson Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce upcoming upgrades to John Nygard Memorial Park, located at the corner of Long and 5th Street in Branson. Named in honor of former City of Branson Alderman John Nygard, this local neighborhood park will soon feature a brand-new playground, complete with a modern saucer swing— adding a fresh and exciting element for the children and families in the community.

The park, a favorite gathering spot in the neighborhood, currently offers a range of amenities, including a playground, swing set, picnic tables and benches spread across its 1.3-acre landscape. With these new improvements, Nygard Park will be an even more enjoyable destination for families, bringing a variety of play opportunities to children of all ages.
