A woman from Powersite pleads Not Guilty to several charges including Drug Trafficking and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Court Documents indicate that Karena Dale entered the plea during arraignment Thursday in Taney County Circuit Court.
The charges stem from information received during an ongoing Drug Investigation by the Combined Ozarks Multijurisdictional Enforcement Team. According to the Probable Cause Affidavit, the information indicated that Dale was traveling to St. Louis to buy fentanyl with the intent to distribute. Police eventually located Dale's vehicle and according to the affidavit, did admit to going to St. Louis to get fentanyl with her partner and her three-year-old son, who was sitting near a digital which had the presence of fentanyl. The affidavit goes on to say that she went to a section of St. Louis known for criminal and violent behavior.
Dale has been held in the Taney County Jail without bond but is scheduled for a Bond Reduction Hearing on February 28.
