An annual event in Branson is remembered during the next Tuesday Talk at the Branson Centennial Museum.

The full release from the Branson Centennial Museum is below:

The July presentation of the Tuesday Talk series hosted by the Branson Centennial Museum will feature the Rockettes insider duo of Lisa Rau, Silver Dollar City publicist, and Renee’ Johnson, Rockette performer and company manager. These engaging and knowledgeable women will revisit the legendary show’s run in Branson from 1994 through 2003.  “Rockettes Remembered” will recount both on stage and behind-the-scenes events that were a pivotal point in Branson’s Christmas and live entertainment history. The free presentation will take place at the Branson Centennial Museum, 120 S. Commercial Street, in historic downtown Branson on Tuesday, July 19 from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.

“Working with this show is one of the biggest highlights of my colorful career,” explains Lisa Rau. “The entire near decade of time was exciting -- beginning with the announcement of Radio City by presenting beautiful Rockettes descending the great staircase of The Grand Palace – and then … we made it snow!  The first of many magical moments.”

The Branson Centennial Museum had originally planned to host this presentation in January 2022, but concerns about the COVID Omicron variant caused organizers to reschedule this event to July.

"From the live camels and animals to the 52-person cast, the performances of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular at the Grand Palace were pure magic,” recalls Renee’ Johnson. “What happened behind the scenes was often hilarious. That was a show of its own! I mean, the hedge caught fire. While we were dancing on it! There are so many great stories that have never been told."

The Tuesday Talk series is presented free-of-charge by the Branson Centennial Museum and White River Valley Historical Society. Various topics of local and historical interest are presented by knowledgeable speakers on the third Tuesday of the month from 12:30 until 1:30 PM. The Museum is in historic Downtown Branson at 120 South Commercial Street, former home of Reisch Shoes & Boots.
