The rain that has recently moved through the Lakes Region has helped the dry conditions that had developed over the last few weeks.
The latest map released on Thursday from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows the majority of the Lakes Region drought free, with only parts of northwestern Stone and all of Barry County still showing abnormally dry conditions.
The Easter Weekend sees warm weather for the Lakes Region which does come with an elevated fire risk with gusty winds and low humidity expected today. High temperatures over the next three days will be in the 70s with lows in the 50s prior to the arrival of the next front on Monday which does bring the chance of severe thunderstorms to the region.
Temperatures will cool back down to the 60s for highs after the rain moves out early Tuesday morning.
