The longtime City Administrator of Hollister reflects on his over two decades serving the city and the region as he enters his final two weeks in office.

Rick Ziegenfuss visited KRZK's "Ozarks Now" earlier this week to talk about that and some of the current happenings in Hollister, including the transition to the new administrator, former Mayor Lamar Patton and Deputy Administrator Denise Olmstead's role in the shift.

Ziegenfuss first came to Hollister as the City's Economic Development Director in 2002 and took over the next year as Administrator after the retirement of John Lewis who had served as the first person to occupy the office.

Ziegenfuss said some of the things that he has been pleased with over the last two decades including the completion of the Highway 65 Interchange and the Passage of the District that helped bring Ozarks Technical Community College to the city. Ziegenfuss also noted the improved relationships with both the Hollister Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Education and the many projects and events they have collaborated.

Ziegenfuss also highlighted the staff and elected officials in the city for coming together to continue the growth of Hollister in areas like infrastructure and parks.

Ziegenfuss officially retires on April 30.
