Sarah Huckabee Sanders talks of the past and the future in her opening remarks at the National Symposium on Patriotic Education Thursday.
Speaking in front of several students and staff members at College of the Ozarks with several thousand people watching via livestream, Sanders talked about her being associated with her father, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, as well as her days as former President Donald Trump's Press Secretary, which she called historic.
Sanders also spoke of how young people should be able to go full speed ahead to chase their dreams and goals but said some people want to put obstacles in their way and why Patriotism is a big part of moving forward.
The event, hosted through The William S. Knight Center for Patriotic Education at College of the Ozarks, continues today with several more speakers, wrapping up this evening with a presentation by former Vice-President Mike Pence.
Registration for today's event is still available through the College of the Ozarks Website.
