The Skaggs Foundation announces a group of area recipients for their summer and fall scholarship programs.
In a release earlier this week, the foundation announces a total of $9,250 that will go to students who are receiving the scholarships ranging in age from graduating seniors to graduate students furthering their education in the healthcare field.
“Skaggs Foundation is committed to continuing to support our local healthcare workforce, those who are furthering their careers as well as those soon to be entering the field,” said Skaggs Foundation President Meghan Connell in the release. “We are blessed to be able to provide a hand up for many of these individuals, many of whom could not otherwise afford to continue their education.”
Alyson Morgan and Gabriel Lavoi are the summer scholarship recipients while fall scholarships have been awarded to the following individuals:
Laura Bower, Summer Fronterhouse, Marietta Hagan, Jill Houtchens, Collette Lavoi, Gabriel Lavoi, Alyson Morgan, Kathryn Morgan, Cadence Swank, Tenley Wilkerson and Tanner Winslow.
Skaggs Foundation has awarded $443,200 in scholarships to students pursuing or advancing careers in healthcare since the beginning of the program in 2002. Applicants must reside in Taney, Stone, or Boone Counties and be an employee of Cox Medical Center Branson or the family member of a Cox Medical Center Branson employee to be eligible.
