A storm survey has confirmed that a Tornado did touchdown briefly in an area near the Branson West Jet Center Friday night.
According to the National Weather Service Report, the EF-1 Tornado near the intersection of Ance Creek Road and Steven Lane. The tornado then followed a path just north of Ance Creek Road before ending just west of Highway 413. The tornado hit the ground just after 7:35 and was on the ground for around three minutes. Estimated peak winds during the storm were around 90 MHP.
The report states that around 20 homes saw roof and siding damage while powerlines and trees were also knocked down.
Though not confirmed as part of the tornado, reports indicate that the same storm cell did cause damage to an outbuilding near Reeds Spring and also caused a swath of 30 hardwood trees were uprooted or snapped off in the Walnut Shade area, one which fell on a barn causing minor damage.
The Tornado Warnings that were issued for the Lakes Region were a part of 31 total issued in Missouri Friday according to Governor Mike Parson's Office. Two people died in eastern Missouri due to the storms while Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson says two people died in northeast Arkansas due to the line of tornados.
People in five states died due to the storms with Kentucky being the hardest hit.
