As the school year approaches, the Taney County Health Department urges parents to have their children that are eligible get vaccinated against COVID-19.
TCHD Community Health Educator Kara Miller, during an interview last week on KRZK's Ozarks Now program, says that students who are vaccinated can remain in school if exposed to the COVID-19 Virus as long as they show no symptoms but non-vaccinated students would have to quarantine if they faced the same exposure. Miller also said during the interview that Drug Companies continue to work on getting a vaccine approved for children under 12 years of ag.
The Taney County Health Department in a partnership with the Branson School District are holding a vaccination clinic this Friday and Saturday from 9-1 at the Shoppes at Branson Meadows. Appoints are recommended and can be made at the Taney County Health Department Website though walk-ins will be accepted as well.
