BRANSON, MO (January 5, 2022) – The White River Valley Electric Trust Board proudly awards $75,033 to educators throughout 20 local schools. Teachers at school districts located within WRVEC service territory were eligible to apply for grant monies to support projects outside of normal school funding for grades Pre K-12.
Three teachers from Branson Public Schools have been named recipients of the Power Up grant: Jennifer Arjes, Reading Interventionist at Cedar Ridge Elementary, Melissa Harris, 3rd Grade teacher at Buchanan Elementary, and Yulianna Schafer, Special Education teacher at Cedar Ridge Primary.
Applicants submitted proposals to promote higher learning and meet school standards. “Teachers are going above and beyond to invest in our future leaders,” said WRVEC Community Programs Coordinator, Nathan Stearns, in a recent press release. “We are so grateful that our members’ donations help teachers in developing area youth.”
