The TCED, Branson, and Chamber of Commerce have a cooperative marketing program
Timothy Haygood spoke in favor of the cooperative marketing effort during Tuesday night's board of aldermen meeting. He said that the collaboration kicked off two years ago as a way to sell "full-price tickets directly to customers" via Google AdWords. The three partner organizations provide 50% of the needed funds while shows bring in the other half.
The graphic below details what results the program yielded in 2023 for websites connected to shows.

Haygood credited the program's effectiveness to the fact that it's the teamwork between shows and Branson Show Tickets Direct. The website launched four years ago with the purpose of selling "full-price tickets" to the public.
He went on to unpack a key element of the program. Ticket sales made on websites attached to the program come with a $3 fee to customers.
The fees fund additional Google AdWords marketing. That helps promote the shows.
He explained that he was "speaking on behalf of 95%" of Branson's shows represented by Branson Show Tickets Direct; for clarity, his slide presentation stated that it was 85%.
Later, he talked about a "comprehensive box office system" that's currently in testing. It will enable shows that particiapte to sell each other's tickets. More was discussed during the presentation and the whole meeting.
