Two Memorial Day Weekend Traffic Crashes in Lakes Region

State Law Enforcement Agencies release preliminary numbers on fatality traffic crashes that occurred over the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. 

During the counting period from 6:00 pm Friday to 6:00 pm Monday, 10 fatality crashes were worked in Missouri by the State Highway Patrol while the Arkansas State Police reports three fatality crashes during that period.

Two of those accidents occurred in the region. A woman from Siloam Springs died in a crash Friday evening near Huntsville while a Springfield man lost his life in a crash north of Branson Sunday night. 

No major incidents were reported on the area lakes over the weekend though a man from Chadwick died on Table Rock Lake last Thursday when he was thrown from his boat.
