The first couple of rounds of winter weather for the year will move through the Lakes Region today through Tuesday.
Winter Weather Advisories are in effect until Noon for areas of Northern Arkansas including Berryville, Eureka Springs, Harrison, and Omaha. National Weather Service Forecasters say that wet snow could cause a few slicks spots, especially on Bridges and Overpasses, but overall, no major traffic impacts are expected.
While no advisories are out for southern Missouri including the Branson area, forecasters are stating that wet snow of around a half an inch to an inch could fall in the region before transitioning to rain later today. Again, some slick spots could develop but overall impacts to travel are expected to be minor.
Another system will move into the region on Monday with the chance of heavier precipitation. Forecasts now indicate the majority of precipitation will be in the form of rain, but some snow could develop prior to the system moving out of the region on Tuesday.
