The waters have begun to recede around the Ozarks as the system that dumped four to five inches of rain in the region has moved away.

A few state roads remained closed due to high water around Ava, Cassville, and Hurley.

A Flood Warning remains in effect for the James River at Galena until Sunday afternoon. The river crested at 25 feet during the storm and is expected to drop below flood stage of 15 feet this afternoon.

An extended dry period is forecast for the region with no rain in the forecast through next week.
